Matthew Caputy is currently a student at SUNY Fredonia pursuing degrees in piano performance and economics, in addition to his degree in trumpet performance, which he earned this past spring. He studies piano with Dr. Eliran Avni, and organ with Dr. Ji Hyun Woo. Although St. Stephen’s Bethlehem is his first music director position, Matthew has worked as associate organist at St. Christopher’s R.C. Church in Tonawanda, NY since 2010. Matthew is an active performer and collaborative pianist in various ensembles and theater companies throughout Western New York. In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing tennis, and biking.
