Welcome to the web home of St. Stephens-Bethlehem United Church of Christ! I hope you find the information you’re looking for. A computer screen can be rather impersonal, though, so I would like to invite you on behalf of our congregation to join us in worship this Sunday. We are eager to meet you and extend a warm and sincere welcome.
St. Stephens-Bethlehem is a church in transition. We are in the process of consolidation with another church – Trinity United Church of Christ, formerly in the City of Buffalo. It’s an exciting time for us. It’s also a time when all of us are actively meeting and getting to know lots of new people. If you’re wondering how a ‘new face’ will fit in, let me assure you that we’re all a new face to someone right now!
We are solidly part of the United Church of Christ tradition. The most important thing to know about the UCC is that we proclaim and practice the inclusion of all persons in our family. Race, economics, age, physical and mental ability, sexual orientation, gender, etc. sometime determine who is welcomed into a church fellowship. We want you to know that we delight in human differences and we grow stronger as we become more and more diverse. To learn more about the UCC, check out our national website at www.ucc.org .
